Argentina approves planting of new GM maize

A new herbicide restistant GM maize variety, NK 603 of Monsanto has been approved for planting in Argentina despite the fact that the European Union has not yet approved this maize for import. However, the EU Commission had already announced it would approve NK 603, even if the ministers fail to agree.
