Commission delivers first report on implementation of GMO release Directives

The EU Commission has published a first report to the member states and the European Parliament regarding the implementation of Directive 2001/18 on the deliberate release of GMO into the environment. Lack of experience and of implementation of the Directive by a number of Member States make the document a rather dry reading.
