About us

Seeds are the foundation of our food. They mark both the beginning and the end of every plant’s life and form the backbone of agriculture. Our mission is to preserve the diversity of seeds and ensure free access to them.

As the Berlin office of the Foundation on Future Farming, we have been advocating for responsible regulation of genetic engineering since 2002. We advocate for an ecological, fair, and – of course – GMO-free agriculture that focuses on sustainability and diversity.

Save Our Seeds coordinates the Stop Gene Drives campaign and organises the annual conference of GMO-free Regions in Europe. Our work primarily focuses on lobbying and building networks within civil society, especially at the EU level.

We see our unique contribution in this essential networking role. We promote agricultural production that is ecologically, culturally, and economically sound. Our goal is to foster constructive debates and support the development of agriculture that can meet the challenges of the future.
