This webinar will be our thirteenth meeting within the series of The Alphabet of Complexity webinars. The letter M (as in “malnouriished”) will guide us through the main question of the day: How do methods of food production and processing influence the quality and nutritious value of food? The lectures of two key speakers Andrea Beste, Alexander Beck) will be followed by a discussion on how the knowledge about the nutritional value of food can inform our actions for the purity of seeds and against GMOs.

Alexander Beck was trained as a farmer and studied human nutrition and food technology. Today he is the managing board member of AÖL e.V. and CEO of BLQ GmbH. He has been active in different positions since 32 years for organic food and farming. His main subjects are processing of organic food, food quality and food legislation. The is running an 20 ha organic farm since decades, located in the centre of Germany.
